The unique eco systems of Lederville create habitat for many species of native wildlife.
While visiting Lederville you will see some of local Fauna (critters) birds such as the Sea Eagles that have their young here every year, lizards big and small, snakes and marsupials like the endangered Brush tail Rock Wallaby and a cheeky possum.
Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies were once common throughout Eastern Australia. Now they are endangered. In the 1900s half a million rock-wallabies were hunted in Australia for the fur trade and bounties. Introduced foxes, dogs and cats have since savaged remaining populations.
