Lederville EZ Horses was Established 2013 combining 2 lifetimes of living, breathing and competing
Breeding Stylish, smart thinking, willing learners who are tough, sure-footed, forward moving horses with strong hooves, a kind eye and big hearts.

All un-started geldings are being sold by expressions of interest due to no fault of their own.

A Studded History

EZ – Ed and Zo Lederhose, Lederville, Rocky River, Tenterfield. 2013 purchased an exceptional line of 13 broodmares all by Mahatmacote ASH x QH by Docs Spinifex out of Stanton Stud Pretty Woman mares out of Pretty Woman (Canning Downs Highest cut out) bred by Richard Kinnon, Kinnon and Co. Longreach QLD. Joined with Clarkes Stud Perfect Son, HSH (won 2010 Warwick Gold Cup) .

Nature Hardened

The drought arrived at our door, struggling to keep our Brangus and Stock horse enterprise alive, we had paddocks on lease from the Tweed Valley to Gunnedah, carting loads of stock and hay with our own truck (young and strong only, the old and frail and horses stayed at home). With little water and feed, we dug deep into the river bed for water and made our own salt and mineral blocks for the stock to digest the dry standing feed, until it got burnt in the 2019 fire including house, sheds and over 100 kilometres of fences. Covid 19. Cancer. Floods. Start again. Sell up. Start again.

Expertly Handled

Weaned after 9 months, Handled, Haltered vet checked, gelded and branded to go back out to grow up in large paddocks containing river crossings, hot wires, camp areas, mobs of cattle, public road and grids to wait for training. Moved around the valley by following a bucket behind the ute, anywhere for kilometres up and down mountains.
